🌚 Fallout 3 New Vegas Companions
Those are the only 3 I use, the rest seem to die to easy, or rush into melee fights. Make sure to give them stimpacks..and heal them between fights. Maybe dead is not dead in this game, but in Fallout 3, my companions lasted like 5 minutes sometimes. Good luck. many have back stories, and little personal quests. So you really want to try them all.
So yeah, companions still pretty much ruin stealth in my experience. Currently playing GE again. Casyle 13 years ago #19. Just like in Fallout 3 I avoid companions in Fallout New Vegas because they fire too dang much. Even when I tell 'em to be passive they'll suddenly pop up and start firing for no reason at enemies.
Utility: EDE + Raul (EDE gets a ton of useful functions, and Raul making your guns not break as fast is awsome.) Combat: EDE + Veronica/Boone (The choice really comes down to whether you prefer energy weapons, melee, or guns for your companion. Both companions are easy to get early on, have reasonably easy side-quests, and are better at what

The Companion wheel is a feature of Fallout: New Vegas to address the issues with controlling companions in Fallout 3. The wheel provides easier control over the non-player character companions in the game by setting the AI and other management options. There are eight sections on the wheel, each with a specified function. Use Melee / Use Ranged: This function allows one to switch the
The companion can be found in the Goodsprings saloon. INSTALLATION. Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
Heartache by the Number is a companion quest in Fallout: New Vegas. Upon first interacting with Cass at the bar in the Mojave Outpost, she will direct the Courier to the Crimson Caravan Company for work. Going there, Alice McLafferty, the company's manager, will assign a series of jobs. One of these jobs will involve buying off Cassidy Caravans from Cass herself, which will progress this quest
Assuming you're playing regularly, ED-E is most likely the first you'll come across. You'll find him in Primm - fix him. Following the main quest you'll also find Veronica at the 188th Trading Post - just talk to her and get her to follow you. You'll encounter Cass before that but you'll need to do several other things for Cass to follow you.
ED-E is the best non-humanoid companion by a mile. Rex lacks any form of ranged attack and the last dlc of NV makes him absolutely busted. Raul is an exceptional companion due to his perk, regular maintenance: -50% item durability loss (make your items last longer).
Any glitch that lets you bring along multiple companions will let you bring some into Dead Money. The easiest one is the glitch that occurs in the I Could Make You Care quest. If you've recruited everyone while traveling to the Sierra Madre, you should still have Lily, Raul, and Veronica with you.
Answers. You talk to them and access their inventory, then move whatever armor/weapon you want them to have into their inventory and close out that interface. A little warning, some of your companions refuse to wear certain armors. You're browsing GameFAQs Q&A as a guest.
Accepted Answer. Companions will use the best weapon available to them, which means you could take the better weapons away and give them the weapon you want them to use instead. There's also the "Ranged/Melee" toggle part of the Companion wheel, especially if it's a melee/unarmed weapon you're trying to give them.
